This is the authentic hot dog vendor’s cart, found on the streets and in the parks of New York City today, continuing the city’s robust street food tradition that began in the late 19th century. Made of durable food-grade 18-gauge stainless steel, the cart rolls on two 51 cm pneumatic wheels and a locking caster with two handles that provide easy maneuvering. It has three removable 5.9 L stainless steel steamer trays that can each hold up to 20 hot dogs or sausages. The front of the cart has a storage ring and hook-up for a propane tank (not included); propane provides fuel for the single burner assembly housed in the rear interior of the cart directly under the three steamers; burners may be individually controlled by knobs in the cart’s rear. A top-loading 49.2 L ice cooler keeps your beverages and meats cold; a drain plug on the bottom of the chassis allows you to drain meltwater. The front of the cart houses a two shelf storage or display area for drinks, buns, or condiments; additional storage area is located underneath.
